General Guidelines

People come to AngryCart to discover true and accurate customer product and service provider experiences that miss the mark. We know that people won’t always agree, but we expect everyone on the platform to treat one another honestly and with respect. The following general guidelines are intended to help set the tone for discourse on the site. Please read the additional guidelines, below, for more specific types of content which you may contribute to the site.

  • Relevance: Make sure your contributions are appropriate to the AngryCart reviews platform. The platform is a place to share a less than optimal shopping experience, a product failure, or a service provider that doesn’t deliver. It is not the place to share the positive qualities of a shopping experience, product, or service provider.
  • Inappropriate content: Keep your language appropriate even when tempted to resort to colorful language, and keep in mind this is no place for threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, or other displays of bigotry. Additionally, this is not the place for political ideologies or rants, or other matters that don’t address the core of the consumer experience.
  • Conflicts of interest: Your contributions to AngryCart should be unbiased and objective. For example, you shouldn’t write reviews about your own store or for a store that employs you, your peers or competing stores, or businesses in your networking group unless you personally bought a product at the store.
  • Privacy: Don’t reveal, publicize, or link to people’s private information. Don’t post other people’s full names unless you’re referring to someone who is commonly referred to by their full name.
  • Promotional content: Don’t post promotional material unless it’s in connection with an AngryCart advertising product and utilizes the AngryCart platform images, text, or links. Strive to keep the AngryCart reviews platform useful for consumers and not overrun with commercial noise from every user.
  • Post your own content: Don’t swipe content from other sites, users, or businesses. Write your own copy and recommendations. This also means you shouldn’t use chatbots or other A.I. tools to create reviews, including using such tools to draft or revise your review.

Review Guidelines

The best reviews are personal, honest, clear, and reflect your consumer experience. They offer your narrative, your details, and a helpful tip or two from one shopper to another. Here are some additional thoughts for conscientious reviewers.

  • Personal experience: We want other consumers to hear about your firsthand experience, not what you heard from your partner or co-worker, or what you saw in the news. Tell your own story without resorting to broad generalizations and allegations.
  • Accuracy: Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to air your opinions, but don’t exaggerate or misrepresent your experience. AngryCart doesn’t take sides when it comes to disputes over facts, so you are expected to post facts accurately, which you can stand behind.
  • Demanding payment: Writing a review should be informative and meant to help the broader community of those who use the AngryCart reviews platform. You should not threaten to post or offer to remove a negative review as a way to extract payment from a store or service provider.
  • Review updates: Review updates should reflect a new experience or interaction with the store or service provider. Don’t keep posting about the same old story you’ve already told. If you’d like to add new insight to an old experience, you can submit a review edit to AngryCart and request that the edit be ammended to your original post.
  • User Profiles: User trust and transparency are important, so users who are disruptive to others on the AngryCart reviews platform will be dealt with. It is reasonable to expect that users may tell a little about themselves, but please keep it relevant to the nature of the review and don’t attack competitors, other reviewers, or the AngryCart reviews platform. Avoid seeding your profile with keywords, special offers, or promotions. If we detect those, we will remove them.
